Not every feature described in this Privacy Policy is available in every StoryFaith product or experience. The information we collect depends on which Services you use and how you interact with them.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Church Discovery and Recommendations

Some StoryFaith Services are designed to help individuals discover Christian churches, ministries, and communities.

Search results, recommendations, comparisons, or other discovery experiences may be based on information provided by the user, information provided by participating organizations, publicly available information, and other relevant information available through StoryFaith.

Recommendations are intended to assist discovery and are not guarantees, endorsements of every belief or practice of an organization, or substitutes for a user's own judgment.

StoryFaith may improve or change its discovery and recommendation methods over time.

When a user chooses to contact, visit, or connect with a participating organization through StoryFaith, we may provide information submitted for that purpose to the applicable organization.

We do not provide participating organizations with unrestricted access to a user's private StoryFaith account merely because the user viewed, searched for, or interacted with that organization.

4. Prayer Requests, Reflections, and Community Content

Some StoryFaith features are intentionally designed for participation within a church, ministry, accountability group, discipleship group, or other community.

When you submit a prayer request or other content intended to be shared, that content may be visible to the audience identified by the applicable feature, which may include other users within your church community or members of selected groups.

You should only submit information that you are comfortable sharing with the identified audience.

Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or other individuals in shared content.

Not all spiritual formation activity is community content. Information such as individual activity, private reflections, or progress is not automatically made visible to other users merely because you belong to the same church or organization.

Participating organizations do not automatically receive unrestricted access to individual StoryFaith user information.

Specific features may make certain information visible to an organization or other users when sharing is an intentional and clearly indicated part of that feature.

5. StoryFaith-Powered and White-Labeled Experiences

StoryFaith may provide technology to churches, ministries, networks, schools, Christian organizations, and other partners.

These Services may appear under StoryFaith branding or under the branding of a participating organization.

Examples may include:

  • Custom church applications
  • White-labeled spiritual formation applications
  • Church-specific prayer or Bible-reading experiences
  • Community discovery experiences
  • StoryFaith-powered websites or digital platforms
  • Partner-specific spiritual formation programs

For example, Salt Church GNV is a StoryFaith-powered experience provided for the Salt Church community.

Unless a different privacy notice is presented for a particular Service, this Privacy Policy applies to StoryFaith's processing of information through these experiences.

A participating organization may maintain its own privacy practices for information it collects independently from StoryFaith. This Privacy Policy governs StoryFaith's handling of information through the Services and does not necessarily govern information collected independently by participating organizations outside StoryFaith.

6. Information Shared With Participating Organizations

StoryFaith may share information with a participating church, ministry, or organization when:

  • You intentionally submit information to that organization;
  • Sharing is necessary to provide a feature you have chosen to use;
  • You submit a connection, visit, or information request intended for that organization;
  • You participate in a group or community feature where the applicable information is intended to be shared; or
  • You otherwise authorize or direct StoryFaith to share the information.

StoryFaith does not provide participating organizations with unrestricted access to all individual user activity by default.

The specific information visible to an organization depends on the StoryFaith Service and feature being used.

Our current service providers include infrastructure and communications providers such as:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Amazon RDS
  • Amazon S3

  • Mailchimp

These providers may process technical, account, communication, or other information on StoryFaith's behalf as necessary to provide their respective services.

StoryFaith may change or add service providers as our Services evolve.

We expect service providers processing personal information on our behalf to use that information for legitimate service-related purposes and in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.

8. How We Share Information

StoryFaith may share information in the following circumstances.

With Other Users

We may share content with other users when sharing is part of a feature you intentionally use, such as a prayer request shared with a church or selected group.

With Participating Organizations

We may provide information to a church, ministry, or organization when you intentionally request connection with that organization or when sharing is necessary for a feature you choose to use.

With Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that perform infrastructure, hosting, database, storage, communications, security, and related services on our behalf.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, StoryFaith may delete or anonymize it.

11. Account Deletion

StoryFaith allows users with StoryFaith accounts to delete their accounts.

When you initiate and complete account deletion through the applicable Service, StoryFaith's backend systems permanently delete your account and associated personal information, subject to limited information we may be required or permitted to retain for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

Content previously shared with others may not disappear from copies independently retained outside StoryFaith, such as screenshots or information copied by another user.

Some StoryFaith Services, including certain discovery experiences, may be available without an account. In those cases, there may be no StoryFaith account to delete.

If you experience difficulty deleting your account or wish to make a privacy request, contact hello@storyfaith.com.

12. Security

StoryFaith uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no online service, database, storage system, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should notify StoryFaith if they believe an account has been compromised.

13. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include rights to:

  • Request access to certain personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion

StoryFaith's Services are intended for individuals who are at least 13 years old.

StoryFaith does not knowingly collect personal information through individual StoryFaith accounts from children under 13.

If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information to StoryFaith without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to StoryFaith, contact hello@storyfaith.com.

15. Communications

StoryFaith may send service-related or other permitted communications associated with your account, requests, or use of the Services.

Where required, promotional or optional email communications will provide an appropriate method for unsubscribing.

Certain operational communications, such as account, security, request-confirmation, or service-related messages, may still be sent when necessary to provide the Services.

StoryFaith currently does not use push notifications within its mobile Services.
