StoryFaith Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of websites, mobile applications, software, digital platforms, and other services provided by StoryFaith LLC ("StoryFaith," "we," "us," or "our"), including StoryFaith-powered experiences provided in partnership with churches, ministries, networks, and other organizations (collectively, the "Services").

StoryFaith builds technology to help people discover Christian community, connect with local churches, and develop meaningful rhythms of spiritual formation.

StoryFaith's Services may include, for example:

  • Community and church discovery experiences, including tools that help people discover, learn about, compare, or connect with churches, ministries, communities, and other Christian organizations;
  • Spiritual formation and rhythm experiences, including prayer, Bible reading, reflection, solitude, spiritual practices, progress tracking, accountability, and community participation;
  • StoryFaith applications, including StoryFaith-branded spiritual formation or solitude/rhythm experiences;
  • StoryFaith-powered partner experiences, including custom or white-labeled websites, applications, digital experiences, and formation tools provided in partnership with churches or Christian organizations, such as Salt Church GNV; and
  • Other websites, applications, features, and services StoryFaith may offer over time.

Not every feature described in these Terms is available through every StoryFaith Service.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the StoryFaith Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

StoryFaith's Services are intended for individuals who are at least 13 years old.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an individual StoryFaith account.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services where such permission is required.

By using the Services, you represent that you are legally permitted to do so and that your use of the Services will comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

2. The StoryFaith Platform

StoryFaith provides technology supporting Christian community discovery, connection, and spiritual formation.

Depending on the Service, StoryFaith may allow you to:

  • Discover churches, ministries, and Christian communities;
  • Search, browse, or compare information about participating organizations;
  • Receive recommendations intended to assist with community discovery;
  • Request information or connection with a church, ministry, or organization;
  • Participate in prayer, Bible reading, reflection, solitude, and other spiritual practices;
  • Track spiritual rhythms or progress;
  • Participate in accountability, discipleship, or community groups;
  • Share prayer requests, reflections, or other content;
  • Use StoryFaith-powered experiences provided by participating organizations; and
  • Access other features StoryFaith may introduce over time.

Some Services may be available without an account. Other features may require authentication because they depend on persistent identity, saved progress, personalization, community participation, or other account-based functionality.

3. Community and Church Discovery

StoryFaith may provide tools designed to help users discover and connect with churches, ministries, campus communities, and other Christian organizations.

StoryFaith may display information supplied by participating organizations, information from publicly available sources, or information otherwise made available to StoryFaith.

We seek to provide useful and accurate information, but we do not guarantee that every listing, description, event, meeting time, staff listing, theological description, affiliation, photograph, or other piece of organization information will always be complete, accurate, or current.

Users should independently evaluate organizations and confirm important information directly with the applicable organization when appropriate.

4. Recommendations and Matching

Certain StoryFaith Services may provide recommendations, search results, comparisons, suggested churches, ministries, communities, or other discovery assistance.

These features are intended to help users explore potential communities. They do not guarantee that a particular church, ministry, community, belief system, leadership team, or organization will be appropriate for any particular user.

Recommendations may be based on information users provide, organization information, user preferences, platform data, or other factors relevant to the applicable feature.

StoryFaith may use software, algorithms, automated systems, or other technologies to provide or improve these experiences.

A StoryFaith recommendation does not constitute a guarantee, certification, endorsement of every belief or practice, or professional determination regarding a participating organization.

You remain responsible for evaluating whether a church, ministry, or community is appropriate for you.

5. Connecting With Churches and Organizations

Some StoryFaith features may allow you to request information, plan a visit, express interest, connect with a representative, or otherwise communicate with a participating organization.

When you intentionally submit information through one of these features, StoryFaith may provide the applicable information to the organization so it can respond to your request.

Once information has been provided to a participating organization at your direction, that organization's handling of the information may also be subject to its own privacy practices and policies.

StoryFaith does not control how independent organizations interact with users outside the StoryFaith platform.

6. Participating Churches and Organizations

StoryFaith may work with churches, ministries, networks, schools, campus organizations, Christian organizations, and other communities.

Participating organizations may use StoryFaith to:

  • Maintain or provide information about their organization;
  • Participate in community discovery;
  • Provide resources or content;
  • Offer StoryFaith-powered spiritual formation experiences;
  • Operate custom or white-labeled StoryFaith experiences;
  • Facilitate prayer, Bible reading, reflection, groups, or other community experiences; or
  • Connect with individuals who intentionally request connection.

Participating organizations are independent organizations unless expressly stated otherwise.

StoryFaith does not control every action, statement, teaching, theological position, leadership decision, policy, event, ministry practice, safety practice, or independently collected piece of information of a participating organization.

Likewise, participating organizations do not automatically receive unrestricted access to private information associated with an individual's StoryFaith account.

7. Organization Listings and Submitted Information

Participating organizations or their representatives may submit information, images, descriptions, events, beliefs, affiliations, links, or other materials to StoryFaith.

By submitting content on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to provide that information and grant StoryFaith permission to use it within the Services.

You grant StoryFaith a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and otherwise use organization-submitted content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, and promote the applicable StoryFaith Services.

StoryFaith may edit formatting, categorization, presentation, or other non-substantive aspects of organization information to maintain consistency across the platform.

StoryFaith may remove, correct, restrict, or decline organization content when reasonably necessary to maintain platform integrity, comply with law, respond to legitimate concerns, or enforce these Terms.

8. StoryFaith-Powered and White-Labeled Experiences

StoryFaith may provide technology underlying applications, websites, platforms, or digital experiences offered in partnership with churches and other Christian organizations.

These experiences may appear under StoryFaith branding or under the branding of the participating organization.

Examples may include:

  • Custom church applications;
  • White-labeled spiritual formation applications;
  • Church-specific prayer and Bible-reading experiences;
  • Community discovery experiences;
  • StoryFaith-powered websites;
  • Partner-specific formation programs; and
  • Other digital ministry experiences.

For example, Salt Church GNV is a StoryFaith-powered experience provided for the Salt Church community.

Unless additional terms are presented for a particular experience, these Terms apply to your use of StoryFaith technology through these Services.

A participating organization may also establish additional policies, community standards, or terms governing its relationship with its members or participants.

9. StoryFaith Spiritual Rhythms

StoryFaith provides software designed to support spiritual formation and practices.

Depending on the Service, these features may include:

  • Prayer
  • Bible reading
  • Scripture engagement
  • Solitude
  • Spiritual reflection
  • Spiritual rhythms and habit tracking
  • Progress and streak tracking
  • Accountability or discipleship groups
  • Community participation
  • Other spiritual formation experiences

StoryFaith provides technological tools and experiences intended to support these practices.

StoryFaith does not guarantee any particular spiritual, theological, personal, relational, emotional, medical, psychological, financial, or other outcome from using the Services.

StoryFaith's Services are not substitutes for professional medical care, mental health treatment, emergency services, legal advice, financial advice, pastoral counseling, or other professional services when such services are appropriate.

10. Accounts

Certain StoryFaith features require an account, while others may be available without one.

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information reasonably current.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
  • Activities occurring through your account;
  • Taking reasonable precautions against unauthorized access; and
  • Promptly notifying StoryFaith if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not impersonate another person or organization or create an account using information you are not authorized to use.

11. Prayer Requests, Reflections, and Other User Content

The Services may allow you to create, submit, post, or share content ("User Content"), including:

  • Prayer requests;
  • Spiritual reflections;
  • Responses;
  • Group or community contributions;
  • Feedback;
  • Connection requests; and
  • Other content you voluntarily provide.

You retain ownership of User Content you create.

By submitting User Content through the Services, you grant StoryFaith a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, improve, and provide the Services and features you choose to use.

This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to StoryFaith.

12. Community Sharing

Certain StoryFaith features are intentionally communal.

For example, a prayer request you choose to share may be visible to other users within your church community or members of a selected group.

Before sharing content, you are responsible for considering the audience identified by the applicable feature.

You should exercise care when sharing sensitive personal information.

You should also avoid sharing private or sensitive information about another person unless you have an appropriate basis or permission to do so.

StoryFaith cannot control information that another user independently copies, screenshots, communicates, or otherwise retains outside the Services.

13. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use StoryFaith to:

  • Violate applicable law;
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse another person;
  • Impersonate another person or organization;
  • Post content you do not have the right to share;
  • Disclose another person's highly sensitive personal information without appropriate authorization;
  • Submit materially false or intentionally misleading organization information;
  • Distribute malware or malicious code;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to StoryFaith systems or accounts;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect user information without authorization;
  • Use automated systems to abuse or materially disrupt the Services;
  • Use the Services for fraud, spam, or deceptive activity;
  • Circumvent security or access restrictions; or
  • Reverse engineer the Services except where applicable law expressly permits doing so.

StoryFaith may remove content, restrict functionality, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable action when necessary to protect users, participating organizations, StoryFaith, or the integrity of the Services.

14. Respectful Community Participation

StoryFaith is designed to support Christian community and spiritual formation.

Community features should be used respectfully.

Participating churches, ministries, groups, and organizations may establish additional standards for their communities.

StoryFaith reserves the right to take reasonable action against content or behavior that materially harms users, compromises platform safety, violates these Terms, or interferes with the intended operation of the Services.

15. Privacy

StoryFaith's collection, use, storage, and sharing of personal information is described in the StoryFaith Privacy Policy.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.

16. StoryFaith Intellectual Property

The Services, including StoryFaith software, interfaces, technology, designs, branding, logos, graphics, recommendation systems, and other materials provided by StoryFaith, are owned by StoryFaith or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no intellectual property rights are transferred to you.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, license, commercially exploit, or create unauthorized derivative works from StoryFaith's proprietary materials except with our permission or as otherwise permitted by law.

17. Third-Party Content, Links, and Services

The Services may contain information, content, integrations, links, or functionality provided by participating organizations or other third parties.

StoryFaith is not responsible for third-party websites, services, privacy practices, content, products, events, or activities that it does not control.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

A link from StoryFaith to a third-party website or service does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of everything offered or represented by that third party.

18. Availability and Changes to the Services

StoryFaith is continuously developing its platform.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or Services from time to time.

We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, that the Services will be uninterrupted, or that the Services will be error-free.

We may perform maintenance or make changes necessary for security, performance, legal compliance, product development, or other legitimate business purposes.

19. Account Deletion and Termination

Users with StoryFaith accounts may delete their accounts using the account deletion functionality provided within the applicable Service.

Account deletion permanently deletes the account and associated personal information from StoryFaith's backend systems, subject to limited information StoryFaith may be required or permitted to retain for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

Some StoryFaith Services may be available without an account, in which case there may be no StoryFaith account to delete.

StoryFaith may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably determine that:

  • You materially violated these Terms;
  • Your use creates a security or legal risk;
  • Your account is being used fraudulently or abusively; or
  • Suspension or termination is required by law.

Where appropriate, StoryFaith may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve an issue before termination.

20. Purchases and Paid Services

StoryFaith mobile applications do not currently offer purchases through the application.

StoryFaith may offer paid products, subscriptions, organizational services, partnerships, or other commercial arrangements outside the consumer mobile application experience.

If StoryFaith introduces paid consumer features or transactions in the future, additional payment or subscription terms may apply.

21. Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback regarding StoryFaith, you grant StoryFaith permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to improve, develop, or promote the Services.

This provision does not give StoryFaith ownership of prayer requests, private reflections, or other User Content merely because you submit that content through the Services.

22. No Professional or Pastoral Relationship

StoryFaith provides technology and digital experiences.

Use of StoryFaith does not, by itself, create a professional, counseling, medical, legal, fiduciary, or pastoral relationship between you and StoryFaith.

Interactions you have with pastors, church leaders, ministry leaders, volunteers, hosts, or representatives of participating organizations are relationships with those individuals or organizations, not with StoryFaith, unless expressly stated otherwise.

If you are experiencing an emergency or need professional assistance, you should seek appropriate help from qualified professionals or emergency services.

23. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

STORYFAITH DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

STORYFAITH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • THE SERVICES WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, SECURE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE;
  • INFORMATION ABOUT A PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATION WILL ALWAYS BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT;
  • A RECOMMENDED CHURCH, MINISTRY, OR COMMUNITY WILL BE APPROPRIATE FOR A PARTICULAR USER; OR
  • USE OF SPIRITUAL FORMATION FEATURES WILL PRODUCE A PARTICULAR RESULT.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

24. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORYFAITH LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORYFAITH'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  1. THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO STORYFAITH FOR USE OF THE SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR

2. ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

25. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless StoryFaith LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:

  • Your material violation of these Terms;
  • Your unlawful use of the Services;
  • User Content you submit in violation of another person's rights; or
  • Organization information you submit without appropriate authority.

This provision does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

26. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from exercising rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

27. Changes to These Terms

StoryFaith may update these Terms as our company, products, technologies, partnerships, and legal obligations evolve.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

29. No Waiver

StoryFaith's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

30. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the StoryFaith Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular Service, constitute the agreement between you and StoryFaith regarding your use of the Services.

Additional agreements may govern StoryFaith's commercial relationships with participating churches, ministries, networks, or other organizations.
